Through multi-sector partnerships, IPPIN is supporting entrepreneurs across the region to change plastic problems into profitable and sustainable solutions. 

The IPPIN program is part of CSIRO’s Ending Plastic Waste Mission, which aims to change the way we make, use, recycle and dispose of plastics. 

IPPIN’s Incubator program is delivered by CSIRO, Australia’s national science agency and supported by the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) and in-country government partners in Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam. 

When you join an IPPIN program (such as Incubator or Accelerator) – you join a global network that uses the power of innovative science and technology to create a greener and healthier future for all.

Yes! The program has been designed to support those already with ideas and those without them but are keen to contribute. The tools and skills you build will help you identify a problem/opportunity worth tackling and the pathway to developing a desirable solution.     

The program is open to both individuals and teams. Hopefully, by the end of the program, you will have gathered the information and skills to build a team to support you to deliver your solution.      

No, the program is also open for researchers and NGOs looking to scale their impact. Not everyone will be on a path to becoming a startup or business, however, we believe that building entrepreneurial skills and mindsets will enable any type of venture to improve its likelihood of success.   

Yes, you will have to attend all sessions. However, we understand that work and other commitments can get in the way. If you are unable to attend any of the sessions, please ensure that you inform the program facilitators in advance. For those that have a team, at least one member must attend each session. All engagements will be recorded and shared with participants.  

The program is flexible to cater to different stages of maturity. Some of the content. You may have come across some of the content in your journey, however, it is always good to revisit concepts all also seek to create opportunities for participants to come together in person throughout the program to network and exchange ideas.

Selection criteria will be made available as part of the Application Process. Each of our hubs have an Advisory Group that consists of senior representatives of key program partners and select experts. The Advisory Group will assess shortlisted applications and select teams to participate according to the selection criteria.

There is an opportunity for the team to receive coaching or mentoring during the program, however, the format will depend on the program, and it may not be one-on-one.
