HangKaw is a reusable coffee takeaway bag made from textile offcuts, designed to replace single-use plastic drink carriers in Cambodia. Produced by marginalised women and workers with disabilities in 2 sustainable and ethical Phnom Penh factories, HangKaw promotes circular fashion/accessories and economic empowerment by repurposing waste from garment production, reducing landfill waste while tackling Cambodia’s single-use plastic crisis.

Every bag is produced by marginalised workers who gain employment, skills training, and financial independence. It is a long-term pathway out of poverty. The Hangkaw coffee bag is designed for convenience, hanging easily on motorbike handlebars like its plastic predecessor -ensuring it meets the needs of coffee drinkers.
