Success Stories
Gaining commercial traction in Thailand
Like Wake Up Waste designing trucks to collect and compact waste, working with building managers of high-end residential developments. They now service 550 buildings across the country, reducing waste while also creating employment opportunities after completing IPPIN’s Accelerator+ Program.

Revitalising one of the worlds’ most polluted rivers
Over 25 million people depend on the Citarum river in Indonesia for water supply, agriculture, hydropower generation, and livelihoods. Through the Citarum Action Research Program (CARP) initiative, in part funded by IPPIN, 1.6 tonnes of combined plastic and organic waste are removed from the river every week.
Driving inclusive change in Viet Nam
This women-led venture, UpGreen Viet Nam, who completed IPPIN’s Accelerator+ Program in 2024 has created 5000 jobs in the plastic waste management industry and in the traditional Vietnamese lacquer craft sector. Based in the Binh Duong province, their workforce is 80 per cent women, and 12 per cent of their employees are people with disabilities.
