Dr. Asira Fuongfuchat

Dr. Fuongfuchat is the Deputy Executive Director of the National Metal and Materials Technology Center (MTEC), NSTDA, where she drives research and innovation in materials science and engineering. Her expertise spans polymer and food rheology, physical chemistry of polymers, plastic circular economy, and active packaging. She has led multiple research teams and projects on topics such as plastic circular economy and chemicals in products, polymer and food rheology, food texture modification, and active packaging technologies.

Since 2017, her specialization in the plastic circular economy has led to several advisory roles, including serving as a Technical Committee Member of ISO/TC 61/SC 14 Plastics with Environmental Aspects and a Scientific Committee Member for the Thai FDA on food-contact plastic containers and packaging. She is currently an Expert committee of Thailand Carbon Neutral Network.
