Ms Nguyễn Thị Thu Trang

Trang Nguyen is the Director of GreenU, a pioneering Vietnamese social enterprise advancing circular economy and sustainable business practices. With nearly 20 years of experience in sustainable development and over a decade focusing on plastic pollution reduction, Trang has led numerous national and international initiatives on marine debris assessment, waste value chain improvement, and Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) implementation.

She is also deeply engaged in supporting green startups and small enterprises to innovate toward sustainability — helping them adopt eco-friendly business models, responsible sourcing, and plastic waste reduction solutions. Under her leadership, GreenU collaborates with businesses, local communities, and policymakers to accelerate Vietnam’s transition to a circular, low-plastic economy. Trang is widely recognized for her expertise in evidence-based policy advocacy and her commitment to inclusive, community-driven approaches that empower women and informal waste workers in the green transition.
