Ambassador Wahid Supriyadi

Mr. Wahid Supriyadi is the Co-Chair Non Government of Indonesia National Plastic Action Partnership (NPAP). Mr. Wahid has a distinguished career diplomat with a remarkable tenure in international relations. He served as the Consul General in Melbourne from 2004 to 2007, followed by his appointment as the Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates from 2008 to 2011. More recently, he was the Ambassador to the Russian Federation from 2016 to 2020.  

He is also a prolific writer, contributing articles to both local and international newspapers. His academic contributions are notable as well, serving as a Visiting Professor at Tomsk State University and a Visiting Lecturer at several other universities. Mr. Supriyadi’s academic background is rooted in English Literature, having graduated from Gadjah Mada University. He furthered his education with a Graduate Certificate in Applied Business from Swinburne University of Technology. Additionally, he is the author of the book “Diplomasi Ringan dan Lucu” (Light and Entertaining Diplomacy), which reflects his unique approach to diplomacy.
