Dr. R. Hendrian
Dr. Hendrian serves as the Deputy Chairman for Utilization of Research and Innovation at the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN), Republic of Indonesia. He has over two decades of experience in plant conservation, botanical research management, and advancing research–innovation collaboration across sectors.
Prior to his current role, he served as Director of Research and Innovation Partnership at BRIN and previously held key leadership positions within the Indonesian Institute of Sciences (LIPI), including Head of Purwodadi Botanic Garden, Head of Cibodas Botanic Garden, and Director of the Research Center for Plant Conservation and Botanic Gardens.
He earned his academic degrees from the University of Indonesia, Leiden University (Netherlands), and the Tokyo University of Agriculture (Japan), and continues to promote the effective utilization of research and innovation for sustainable national development.
