Siegwerk focuses on addressing the challenges of ink removal or de-inking, from materials like paper and plastic. The majority of recycling companies lack the necessary facilities for de-inking or washing processes and without effective ink removal, the recycling process can be contaminated, resulting in lower-quality recycled materials. Siegwerk has developed and tested innovative de-inking technology on school milk pouches, demonstrating its effectiveness. Their goal is to collaborate with recycling factories to incorporate this process into their systems,  enhancing the quality of recycled materials and promoting a more sustainable recycling industry.
